Solenoid Lock-Out Units
FEMA Corporation introduced the “mechanical solenoid” lock-out actuator to increase safety for many applications, including the need to lock out a gear lever. A common example is when a lock-out unit prevents selection of reverse gear when the vehicle is moving forward. These lock-out actuators are designed to withstand up to 1000 pounds of radial side loads to the pin and are applied in similar fashion to a deadbolt lock on a door.
We supply these units primarily to mobile markets, including automotive, truck, off-road, construction, and agricultural. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact us to request technical and application information.
