FEMA Corporation is first in the area to install an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station! Located at our new facility in Otsego, MI, the charging station is a Level 2, J1772, 6.6 kW station. FEMA is delighted to support this growing trend of electrification power for transportation. –chargepoin+ offers hundreds of thousands of places to charge with one account to access them in North America and Europe. After delivering over 88 million charges (and counting) they are pioneering new ways to make electric mobility the easy choice.

FEMA Corporation announces occupancy of new facility in Michigan

FEMA Corporation

FEMA Corporation is proud to have occupancy on its new Otsego Michigan campus.  The 40,000 square foot facility will house the Component Manufacturing division – a precision machining operation with light assembly and inventory management services.  VP of FEMA Component Manufacturing John Pula stated that existing and new machines will start arriving February 1st.  Equipment includes Multi-turret; Swiss; vertical machining centers, honing, specialized wash systems, vision and robotics to support the most demanding customer requirements.  We’re excited to be a part of the Otsego community and very much appreciate the City and all its support.

FEMA Corporation Announces Appointment of Marjorie Simmons to Board of Directors

FEMA Corporation

The new FEMA Corporation building site in Otsego, MI has been cleared, temporary construction power brought in, stumps removed, topsoil stripped, footers poured, and building frame erected. After several expansions in Southwest Michigan and maximizing the campus in Portage, the location in Otsego was chosen as a key factor in FEMA’s long term strategy. FEMA Corporation Breaks Ground on New Manufacturing Facility in Otsego, MI

FEMA Corporation, with headquarters in Portage, MI is pleased to announce the ground breaking for a new facility located at 555 Washington Street in Otsego, MI. This 15 acre site will accommodate the construction of this 40,000 square foot facility and have potential for a total site plan of 150,000 square feet of manufacturing in the future.

FEMA Corporation Launches Specialized Transmission Control Valve

The frictionless armature of FEMA Corporation’s electro-hydraulic (EH) transmission control valve provides low hysteresis, eliminates wear surfaces and extends the expected duty life cycle. The two stage, pilot operated pressure control EH valve is highly adaptive. The pilot stage design includes high clearances which enables it to function in relatively higher contaminated environment. The main stage design floats to ensure alignment. It can accommodate a simple Direct Current signal resulting in precise control with no dither requirements.

FEMA's Jason Brandenburg and Daughter Talk Electro-Magnets at Moorsbridge Elementary


A father-daughter team recently visited Moorsbridge Elementary in Portage, Michigan to talk to Mr. Heerlyn’s 3rd grade class about electro-magnets. Jason and Tessa Brandenburg demonstrated how electro-magnets work and helped each student build their own to take home. Jason is a product engineer with FEMA Corporation and his daughter is currently in the 5th grade at Moorsbridge elementary.

FEMA Corporation is committed to having a positive impact in our community by providing our employees with a range of ways to get outside, get some exercise, and build relationships with their coworkers outside of the office’s walls. In 2019, we will be sponsoring employees who are participating in five different local runs: the Borgess Run, the Kalamazoo Mud Run, the Kalamazoo Klassic, the Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5K, and the Paw Paw Grape Lake 5K.
