Field Service Engineer
Location: Portage, MI
Brief Description:
FEMA is looking to add a Field Service Engineer who will report to the Field Service Engineering Manager. Normal work hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with customers on non-conformance and quality related concerns
- Communicate needs of customers to FEMA Corporation by acting as the “Voice of the Customer”
- Represent FEMA Corporation in a professional manner at customer facilities while providing on-site support
- Perform evaluations of customer returns utilizing an engineering approach to determine root cause
- Coordinate projects internally and work closely with Engineering to drive corrective actions in response to company-responsible non-conformances
- Assemble Customer Return Evaluation Summaries as a customer facing document to effectively relay evaluation results to the customer
- Participate in regular warranty meetings to review and respond accordingly to submitted warranty claims
- Maintain quality record metrics and perform quality/warranty analysis to monitor trends and identify potential continuous improvement opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bachelor of Science degree – Engineering Curriculum required
- Basic understanding of hydraulic circuits/components and FEMA products.
- Willingness to develop further knowledge related to specific customer applications and FEMA product functions.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects
- Customer Travel – 10% to 20% both internationally and domestically
- Communication skills with both internal and external customers
