- Interpret system-level inputs (e.g., circuit diagrams, functional targets) into efficient mechanical solutions.
- Devise original fixtures and tooling to incorporate into assembly lines.
- Generate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
- Integrate design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles into early-stage development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate feasibility using prototyping techniques such as CNC machining and 3D printing.
- Prepare technical documentation and visual presentations for internal teams and customer communication.
Technical Analysis and Validation (40%)
- Utilize simulation tools to assess and optimize designs, including SolidWorks Flow Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys EM Suite, and Simcenter Amesim.
- Assist in prototyping efforts by working closely with product, manufacturing, and test teams to validate and refine designs.
- Correlate simulation data with testing results.
