The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, analytical judgment, and the ability to generate practical solutions within a structured engineering environment.

 Job Responsibilities:

Concept Development (40%)

  • Design and develop custom hydraulic manifolds and valve assemblies based on customer specifications and performance requirements.
  • Interpret system-level inputs (e.g., circuit diagrams, functional targets) into efficient mechanical solutions.
  • Devise original fixtures and tooling to incorporate into assembly lines.
  • Generate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Integrate design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles into early-stage development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate feasibility using prototyping techniques such as CNC machining and 3D printing.
  • Prepare technical documentation and visual presentations for internal teams and customer communication.

Technical Analysis and Validation (40%)

  • Utilize simulation tools to assess and optimize designs, including SolidWorks Flow Simulation, SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys EM Suite, and Simcenter Amesim.
  • Assist in prototyping efforts by working closely with product, manufacturing, and test teams to validate and refine designs.
  • Correlate simulation data with testing results.
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles to ensure structural integrity, system performance, and design-for-manufacturability.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet company standards and applicable industry requirements (ASME, ISO, ANSI, etc.).

Project and Process Management (20%)

  • Maintain accurate documentation including CAD files, bill of materials, and other records within a product data management (PDM) system.
  • Manage concurrent projects with a high level of organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Follow established change management and revision control procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to production.
  • Demonstrate full ownership and accountability of assigned projects from concept to release.

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience (mobile hydraulics industry preferred)
  • Strong mechanical intuition with hands-on problem-solving skills, combined with visual and spatial awareness for effective component and system design.
