Assembly & Test Operator – 1st Shift
Brief Description:
FEMA Corporation is the industry’s go-to source for hydraulic solenoid valves, manifold systems, contract manufacturing, and more. Located near Kalamazoo, Michigan, we continue to be an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and performance testing of custom engineered electro-hydraulic components.
Operators work on teams assembling, testing and packaging hydraulic valves on various production lines in a temperature-controlled environment. No experience necessary. Job Responsibilities:
- Manual assembly of small components (with training)
- Standing up to ten (10) hours or sitting for up to three (3) hours while operating machines or equipment
- Use of measuring tools including calipers, indicators, meters, and gages (with training)
- Construction and interpretation, using manual or computerized methods of statistical quality control charts (with training)
- Packaging and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
- Operation of hydraulic test systems (with training)
- Completion of routine shop paperwork, including basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Light machine maintenance, including oiling, cleaning, and setup (with training)
- General housekeeping
- Use of loctites, epoxies and other manufacturing materials
- Plus, other assigned duties
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) in English.
